At Hrebienok, you’ll experience unforgettable adventures in the heart of the Tatra wilderness. Join us and try exciting winter or summer activities. Hrebienok is the starting point for several popular hikes in the High Tatras, such as the waterfalls of Studený potok or Rainer's chalet, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, and those who enjoy longer hikes can continue from Hrebienok to Sliezsky dom or other mountain chalets in the Tatras.

In winter, there is the longest sledging track in the High Tatras. Besides sledging, you can also enjoy summer or winter hiking or simply peaceful walks through the beautiful landscape. Hrebienok offers something for everyone, whether you're seeking adrenaline-filled adventures or relaxation in nature.

Kubo the Bear

At Hrebienok, you'll be greeted by a statue of Kubo the Bear, who watches over the safety of tourists. You can also take a photo with him and bring home a lovely memory of your visit to Hrebienok, where dominant Mt Lomnický štít towers overhead.

The patron of Hrebienok, the 2.4-metre-tall iron Kubo the Bear, travelled all the way from Trebišov. He weighs 350 kg, his teeth are made of iron wedges, and his eyes are crafted from semi-precious stones.

Zone of Pleasure

Besides Kubo the Bear, Hrebienok offers the Zone of Pleasure, whose entrance is guarded by several wooden bear figures. On the Lower Meadow in the heart of the zone, there are 10 more wooden bears. Visitors can admire them and even rest by them on comfortable loungers during their high-altitude walks and hikes. What’s more, the Zone of Pleasure contains several educational boards presenting different species of bears from around the world.
